• The IICRC standards define the "standard of care" rather than "state of the art" or "current practice". The standards seek to raise the bar, while not making achievement of the standard of care impossible or a reflection of the lowest common denomination.
• Technicians are required to take two credits every 4 years to maintain their status within IICRC
• Standards are reviewed and updated every 5 years, embracing change and ensuring those certified keep up with the advancement of the science and generally accepted practices of the industry.
