Water Damage
Water damage can occur at any time. It can be something big like a
pipe that burst or something as small as a leaking dishwasher.
Wherever the water is coming from, it is crucial to address the water
damage right away to prevent mold from developing and infiltrating
the structure. We use the SPONGE process to mitigate the water and
begin repairing the damage. Abiding by IICRC guidelines and using
state of the art technology, we will restore the damaged area to its
original format.
Process for Water Mitigation:
S- Scrutinize the situation
P- Purge the area of standing water
O- Observe the damaged area and determine the extent of moisture
N- Nail down the category of water to set up drying goals
G- Generate drying goals to begin finalization of mitigation process
E- Examine moisture measurements to ensure drying goals are met
Three categories of water damage
1. Clean water, no danger to humans
2. Gray water, can cause damage
3. Black water, extremely dangerous when exposed to humans
